In 1562 Titian completed his version, in 1629 Rubens created his, and in 2021 Rune Furelid presented his own interpretive contribution to this iconic masterpiece, first painted by Titian. This oil painting represents a modern approach and took Furelid over a year to complete. The artwork was SOLD to a private collector in Copenhagen, Denmark. The dimensions are impressive with a height of 1.9 meters and a width of 2.25 metres. Done in oil on Belgian linen.
